It’s Monday night and I’m back in Atlantic City. Arrived about 8pm, checked into my room and decided to walk downstairs and see if I could get in a game. Bad choice. I’m five episodes in to the WSOP 2016 Main Event and I can say that players like William Kassouf are one of the biggest reasons I prefer cash to MTTs. Having the freedom to get up and move away from a player like Kassouf is one of the best things about being a cash player. I legitimately feel sorry for tournament players who are trapped at tables with these kind of annoying players.
Kassouf is probably good for TV. He’s somewhat entertaining. He helps break up the monotony of the typical grinder silently peeking at his cards then creatively helicoptering them into the muck. But I think that ultimately, Kassouf and players like him are bad for the game. [Read more…]
